Red grapes

Blackcurrants (Ribes nigrum) are a plant species belonging to the family Grisulariaceae. In the case of red currants, it comes from the more balanced northern parts, native to Great Britain to Central Siberia. In Hungary, its protected populations are found in Szigetköz and Hanság, as well as in the Gödöllő hills.
Of the berries, blackcurrant has the highest vitamin C content, but its characteristic strong taste and aroma for fresh consumption make it less popular. Processed into syrup and wine, it is a popular immune-boosting protective drink. Consumption is highly recommended. Its fruit could rightly be called a medicinal fruit, modeled on our word. Its effects were noticed again in the 1970s, including by studying herbal descriptions of medieval European monks.
